Shihan Matthew Sikora’s martial arts training began seventeen years ago in Farmington Hills, MI in September, 1992. Since that time, he has been training under the direct instruction of Kancho Maczuga. Shihan Sikora is a fourth degree black belt (yondan), certified by the World of Martial Arts and the American Ashihara Karate Association. He has had hundreds of students under his direct instruction since the year 2000. Shihan Sikora has expert level experience in Tae Kwon Do, Koei-Kan, Shoto-Kan, Ashihara Karate, as well as Vortex Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).
Over his many years of training, Sikora Shihan has competed and placed in many martial arts national competitions, with a major focus on full-contact sparring. Tournament placements have designated Sikora as regional and state champion on multiple occasions.
Sikora is now co-owner of Vortex Martial Arts in West Bloomfield Michigan and he continues to share the wealth of his martial arts knowledge with the community via Vortex and through volunteer work with Impact Community Outreach.
